The Life of A Realtor... By: Maria Sapio, Carlisle, PA Realtor
You will enjoy these observations from a very special real estate professional...
The Life of A Realtor...
It's downing 2-3 cups of coffee before a full day of showing homes and then realizing 15 minutes into the first showing appointment that your bladder is going to explode.
It's trying to carry on an important phone conversation while simultaneously listening to the GPS directions during a thunderstorm and noticing that you're surrounded by cornfields with no civilization in sight and your gas gauge is on Empty
It's opening the front door to that home that was priced unbelievably low and being knocked out by the stench of god-knows-what.
It's wearing those cute new heels and wondering if by the end of the day, they'll need to amputate your feet.
It's walking into a potential listing appointment and the homeowner's dog is so excited to see you, that he jumps up, rips a huge slit down the front of your dress and modesty is tossed to the wind.
It's trudging through muddy ground and thorn bushes with a smile to locate the property boundaries.
It's trying to remain calm when the key requires Sumo wrestler strength to unlock.
It's a text at 3 a.m. when you jump out of bed and realize that a client is just so excited, they wanted to share their exuberance with you.

AND, the life of a Realtor is So Much More...
It's receiving a phone call from a frightened and excited first time home buyer and then walking beside them every step of the way, and handing them the SOLD sign to take a photo on settlement day.
It's remembering to pack gluten-free-snacks and water bottles for your client that has a gluten allergy because you care.
It’s compassion. Understanding that a client isn’t selling a house, they’re selling a place where a multitude of memories were built.
It's hearing the overwhelming joy in your client’s voice when they get the 'cleared to close.'
It's being asked for my decorating opinion.
It's earning trust and being welcomed into my client's hopes and dreams.
It's when your client wants you to be the first person that knows she is pregnant.
It’s receiving a handwritten thank you card that brings tears to my eyes.
It's getting the phone call that so-and-so said I HAD to call YOU to be my Realtor.
It's handing someone the keys to their new home and seeing the tears of joy stream down their face.
It's being tagged in the photos on Facebook of your client's first Christmas tree in their new home.
It's not a job...it's a Passion.
It's being invited into the journey and watching dreams come true...!!
