Ah, the first date. The time to clean up. Get your haircut, shave and put on your best fitting clothes. No one goes on a first date in their old sweatpants, hair a mess, looking like you just got done mowing the lawn. It is the time to be your very best.

 

Now you want to sell your house and you want to get top dollar. Shouldn’t your house be it’s very best? There are going to be a lot of people coming through your house. Looking at your bedroom, checking out your appliances, walking around your yard.

How do you want them to feel about your house? Do you want them to think it’s OK, or do you want love at first site? Selling a home is not a long-term relationship. You don’t have time to grow old together.

If you want top dollar, then your house must be at it's very best.

I tell every client that their home needs to look like a model home. That means CLEAN, paint, fix, declutter. Set the stage. You are putting on a show.

Every person that walks into your house is on their first date with you. Make it a good one or there won’t be a second date.

Oh, and yes, when selling a home it’s OK to kiss on the first date.
