998 Raymond Avenue, Pasadena

This charming bungalow pool home reminds all who enter of the beauty of the early 1900 craftsman architecture that Pasadena is so well known for. The double gable front sitting above the large, brick front porch helps create the tremendous curb appeal. The oversized wooden front door with a multi paned window opens to a living room oozing with character. Features include the brick fireplace which is flanked by built-in glass cabinets, extra wide crown & base molding, a pocket door to the front bedroom and glistening hardwood floors which lead into the formal dining room separated by post dividers and a secretary’s desk. The formal dining room showcases wainscoting, molding and French doors to a 2nd covered patio. The open floor plan connects the dining room to the tastefully remodeled kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances, Caesarstone counters and a garden window. The breakfast room set behind the kitchen has been nicely appointed as an at home office perfect for the professional needing a separate space to work from home. Three spacious bedrooms are on the north side of the home feature picture rail molding, original windows with wood casing, hardwood floors and good size closets for homes built in the early 1900’s. The master bedroom at the back features redwood floors and an attached ¾ remodeled bathroom. There is a 2nd hall bathroom with a full shower and tub with hexagon tile flooring. Set behind the kitchen is the laundry room from which one can access the finished California basement. This finished basement is ideal for a family room, guest room or office as it has a closet, a window to the outside and is very spacious. The back yard is breathtaking and peaceful with a beautiful pool for relaxing in those hot Southern California days. The oversized garage has a work room and an abundance of storage space. This Craftsman Bungalow beckons all to come who have an appreciation for the Arts & Crafts style home.
