5 life lessons I learned from college wrestling:
Lesson Number 1 – Push the pace.
My goodness, my college coaches used to say that to me so much that I began to think that they did not know any other words in the English language.
Years later, I am thankful that they drilled that into my head.
How do I apply that simple phrase in my business career today? Simple. I push the pace.
It’s sort of like running and you want to see who breaks first. Just keep running faster and farther. Eventually, your opponent will gas out and quit.
When it comes to work, I come early and stay late.
I Focus more, dig in more, and pay attention to every single detail that much more.
I realize that every single day matters and every single minute of every single day matters.
I am constantly analyzing how I can do better every single day and I do not stop.
I am intense and refuse to give an inch to any of my opponents.
If someone is doing something better than I am, I will figure out what they are doing and then just outwork and outhustle them.
If you want to be the best at your job, in a relationship or in whatever, one of the things you must do is push the pace. Do not relax, do not rest and do not stop.
Have a great day everyone and let’s win this one!!
