Sacrificing Everything on 9/11: Flight 93
The words of Darryl Worley's song, "Have you Forgotten, How it Felt that Day"
I believe are words that all of us will never forget WHERE we were, WHAT we were doing and HOW we felt that September 11, 2001.
Last September, we were travelling through southern Pennsylvania. We stopped to get information at the Pennsylvania Welcome Center and one of the recommended places to see was the Shanksville PA Memorial to Flight 93.
Yes, I had "forgotten" about Flight 93 and how they SACRIFICED EVERYTHING on that day.
They had learned that other planes had flown into buildings and they CHOSE to not allow those terrorists to do more damage.
Flight 93 ended in a southern Pennsylvania farm field.
The sound of silence was the thing I first remember there. I felt like I was at Arlington or the Vietnam Memorial in D.C.
It was such a place for reverence and beauty of everything that America represents.
Now they are erecting a 93 foot tall tower with chimes, that will be the "voices" for the those heroes onboard that flight.
If you are in this area, I would recommend you visit this memorial so we don't forget these 9/11 Heroes that truly represent SACRIFICING EVERYTHING.
