Change is going to happen, whether we like it or not.

It’s a fact of life...the older you get the quicker time seems to fly.
We were driving around Delray the other day remarking about new
businesses opening and even more, thinking about those that have closed.
What happened to them, we mused?!
It then occurred to us that we’ve been in Florida off and on for over 30 years! Businesses close, owners sell, retire, or die. The business landscape changes.
The trouser shop that had been on Atlantic Avenue since we moved here in 1987 was a fixture and part of the local color. It was known for its only in South Florida colorful pants. But it closed last year (or was it the year before?) after the owner finally felt it was time to retire. I suppose at 74 years of age and over 30 years on the Avenue it was time.
All I can say is enjoy every moment and drink it in as if you’d been stranded in the desert for days without water.
