Room and board at American University is so expensive on top of tuition! The dorm costs are at least $10k to 13k per year not including the cost of board at American University.  Did you know there is a better way to deal with your wonderful student's housing needs than another year in the dorms?

Why not buy a condo for your student - near American University?  Some of these even come with an extra bedroom for a roommate if that is what you want to do!

With the very high cost of college housing we at the Lise Howe Group receive lots of requests from parents with students at American University to find for housing  near American University.  You can buy a condo for 5% or 10% down.  Investing in a condo near American University is money well spent, and we will be happy to help you resell the condo upon your son or daughter finishing their education at American University.  Imagine how happy you will be to recoup the cost of your purchase when your student graduates.

I bought a condo for my son when he was at Harvard Law School and I happily sold it when he graduated and even broke even.  I was so glad that I was able to do that for him!

My name is Lise Howe and I love to help students and their families find housing at a price they are comfortable with and in a location where the parents can rest easily when they leave to go home!

If this sounds like an idea worth pursuing, then you should check out our web site,  which has all the best condos for sale in Washington that appeal to parents and students attending American University. Condo living can certainly be a smart choice for students with parental help....and an eye to investment rather than dorm rent.

Condos are appealing to students and their parents. Many buy while in school and sell when they graduate.

Hi Lise... I'm sure that in the long run buying a condo for a student ends up being much more economical then paying for dorm living and rentals. Rentals around college campuses are horrifically expensive because they know they have a captive market.

The condos for the use by students can be great investments for the parents.
