Whether you are looking for a classic mid-century furniture piece by Herman Miller or Harry Bertoia, some hip and timeless lighting by George Nelson or Poul Henningsen, or some funky and hip furniture for your live / work space, you should make an effort to attend this 3-day event.
Every year, DWR hosts a handful of these clearance sales in the Bay Area, drawing a large and diverse crowd interested in finding that perfect piece for their modernist dwelling. Whether you live in a mid-century modern Eichler home, or a updated loft in San Francisco, there is something here for everyone.
Based on my personal experience at prior DWR Sample Sale Events, you should show up early (and ideally on the first day of the event) so that you have the widest selection of items to choose from. Inventory will include floor samples, scratch and dent items, customer returns and overstock items. While the sales floor is typically restocked with new items daily, your best bet is to shop early. Prices are discounted up to 70% off of original list prices so there are deals to be found however hot items typically sell very quickly. Logistics details for this event are as follows:
