Seniors rule on Thurs., Sept. 27, 2018, with a free walk among the animals at San Jose's Happy Hollow Park and Zoo.
The Senior Safari Walkabout for ages 50 and over allows folks to exercise while enjoying the sights and sounds of wildlife at Happy Hollow Park & Zoo-free of charge.
Seniors are invited to challenge their minds, get a little (or a lot) of exercise, and gain knowledge of the natural world in an atmosphere designed to inspire the wonder of a child again.
Walkabout seniors who enter Happy Hollow before 10 am, can stay all day for no extra fee. Parking is free until 10 am, too. Healthy breakfasts will be available for purchase.
Features include special Animal Meet & Greets, highlighted routes for the 10,000 Step Program, and the fun of seeing the Zoo residents wake up. Happy Hollow is home to lemurs, red pandas, capybaras and more.
After 10 am, regular zoo admission is charged. For more information, please call 408-794-6400.
