The forest animals should do well this winter.

The animals of the forest should fair well this winter.

In my area we have a bumper crop of acorns.

Deer, bear,  Turkey's

Squirrels and chipmunks  all eat acorns, along with many more critters.

This is what my yard looks like under the oak trees...

In this entire area the acorns are this thick.

Wow, quite a feast for the woodland folk! I was up in the Napa Valley wine country with friends today; we were commenting on how we're sensing fall right around the corner; even in coastal California, there are changes we can feel.

It will be interesting to see how many acorns are on the ground at my home this year William Feela .  There were so many last year I was sure we were in for a harsh winter...but it was non-existent.

Morning William.

So, in your opinion is this going to be a hard winter?  I believe we are due for a brutal one.

The animals better get busy. Cold weather will be here before they know it.

I am sure the animals in your area will make good use of all those extra acorns my friend.
