A Clean Refrigerator Helps Sell the Home

Reblogger
Industry Observer with Retired

The refrigerator should be clean on the outside and clean on the inside. Often the refrigerator may be covered in magnets or the kids or grandkids artwork. To present the home at its best, get rid of the clutter on the refrigerator. It's plain ugly and distracting.

Get Rid of the Refrigerator Magnets

RefrigeratorThe refrigerator should be clean on the outside and clean on the inside. Often the refrigerator may be covered in magnets or the kids or grandkids artwork. To present the home at its best, get rid of the clutter on the refrigerator. It's plain ugly and distracting.

Check all sides and the entire front. Clean out the stuff stored on top. Clean it good and get rid of the messy fingerprints, too. Buyers will open the refrigerator even if the refrigerator is not part of the sale. Make sure the inside is neat and clean too.

Additionally, unclutter the counter-tops to make the kitchen look clean and fresh. Less is more and when it comes to stuff in the kitchen, the less you have, the less distractions the buyer will have.

It might be uncomfortable for the seller for a short period of time, but it will pay off with a quicker sale and hopefully better price.

I totally agree. I see a lot of MLS photos with stuff all over the refrigerator. It looks messy.

I think a clean refrigerator (both inside and outside) is visually appealing and minimizes distractions while a buyer is viewing a home.  Thank you for the re-blog.

Thank you Roy for sharing my post. The refrigerator is one thing I look at to determine cleanliness.
