Coats For Kids, sponsored by Minot Realtors

This is one of those events Realtors can be very proud of, Kicking the Cold Fundraiser for Kids. This drive is hosted by the Minot Board of Realtors. Minot Realtors are to be commended for many programs to benefit the community, this one is certainly at the top of the list in my book but I have to admit my very favorite is a tradition that started in Minot ND and is now Nation wide... Realtor Ring day where on day every Salvation Army bell ringing location is staffed by Realtors for the whole day.

Here is the details on the Kicking the Cold Fundraiser for Kids.

Thanks also to the Minot Daily news for keeping this event out in front of the public.

Happy Monday Bob,  This is a great fund raiser for kids and parents that may need just a little help this winter.  Good job!

Thanks Will Hamm . What I like about this program is that the kids end up with coats even if their parents are irresponsible people who would spend a cash gift on their vises instead of their children.

Such a great cause, Bob... we have a metro-area drive here in Charlotte each year with one of our TV meterologists, called Steve's Coats for Kids. I promote it in a post every year. We can wait a few months here before  having the drive as it doesn't get cold that early in the year here.

That's understandable (that you get winter later than us) Nina Hollander and with all the flooding in NC there will certainly be a greater need in your area than in years past. We found out that even with plenty of warning you just can't move everything out because there is no place to put it.

Bob- what a very worthwhile cause for you all to participate in. I've not heard of Realtor Ring Day but I love the idea.

Realtor Ring Day has gone National and I love participating in it. My daughter did it with me several years and that was especially fun. I have posted pictures of me ringing the bell in prior years. I try to find one to add to this comment Kathy Streib . Here is last years post.

That is a great cause and much needed in your area. It gets really cold up there, Bob.

Yes it does Debbie Reynolds and regretfully we have families some families who can not afford good coats and then again you have those parents who would rather spend their money on their vises instead of their children.

How big is Minot? You sure have alot of real estate companies. Personally I will be glad when this 95 degrees heat breaks and I need a coat.

Mike Frazier , Minot is between 45,000 and 50,000 and yes we do have to many agencies in my book.
