Happy Hour Beverage: Sierra Nevada 2017 Narwhal Imperial Stout

Chef Dolores selected one of her favorite beers for our happy hour at home. We enjoyed the 2017 Narwhal Imperal Stout from the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. If you enjoy dark beers, watch for one of the annual editions of Narwhal Stout. It is outstanding. Drink responsibly. 10.2% Alc. by Vol.

Narwhal Imperial Stout is inspired by the mysterious creature that thrives in the deepest fathoms of the frigid Arctic Ocean. Featuring incredible depth of malt flavor, rich with notes of espresso, baker’s cocoa, roasted grain and a light hint of smoke, Narwhal is a massive malt-forward monster. Aggressive but refined with a velvety smooth body and decadent finish, Narwhal will age in the bottle for years to come.

I have to admit I really like that label Roy Kelley and being I also like dark beers I'm going to have to give that one a try.

I'm more fond of stout beers than I am those that are pale.  In the picture above, the beer in the glass looks very dark, but in the bottle it looks lighter, and mor transparent.

I'm not much of a stout fan, Roy, but I'm glad that you and Delores enjoyed it.
