Wow,  this was not expected.  I have been really attacted to online video and Twittered Trulia yesterday to explain that I thought they should include seesmic or utterz style commenting in Trulia Voices.  Another Voices real estate pro had already posted video before my two posts on Monday and Tuesday.  This could be a very useful way of answering questions.

Here is the link to Trulia's Blog:

Congrats on the recognition, Ted! Nice to see that on such a popular site with consumers like Trulia. You're definitely way ahead of the curve on video.

Ivan,

Trulia may be the one of the best sources of blogging material around.  The questions are very typical of most buyers and sellers and can be easy blog posts.

The reason why I like the idea of a video post is that if you read the typical Real Estate Pro response on Trulia..........the typical RE pros dont get it.  I think that a a video post under 2 minutes can give better information and more information than you can type.  The plus factor is that you can let people see who you are.  I just started working with video and I am still gathering responses to see what the largest benefit will be.

HI Ted, That is pretty cool. It would take me awhile to figure out how to do that, but I should probably look in to it.

Hey Ted, very impressive - Just tell me - How long from start to finish - did it take you to post those?  Time is valuable - If it took let's say, an hour - over a 5 min response - it may not be something I'd want to pursue right now - But it certainly differenciates YOU!  Good luck with it...

Marcia,

I do this with my Logitech Webcam and Adobe Premiere.  I beleive that your response should be no more than 2-3 minutes.  2 minutes is better.  The time involved is the processing the video and uploading.  I like to overlay titles with my info and website, which mean that the video has to be processes by editing software.  On a 2 minute video with my clunky old computer it takes 5 minutes to do that, then upload to Google video and then Gogle Video has to process.

You need to be a multi-tasker to do this...what I mena is that you are doing the processing and uploading while you are working on other things.  If I sat down just to do a video response then forget it.

I will only do this for questions in my trade area. So if I am posting answers more than 3 times a week then that meand traffic is up in my area.
