Khash is providing a new series this week on Losing.... we've all lost at one point or another....sometime minor losses and other times major.... I remember both... and the best part of hitting bottom is the journey upward.... there's no place to go other than up....

onward and upward....my favorite saying...

5 things losing taught me:

My series this week is on the lessons which I learned by losing.

There have been a few times in my life where I painted pictures better than Picasso when it came to losing.

Sometimes, you would have thought that I actually TRIED to lose.

The truth of the matter is that I never wanted to lose and I definitely did not TRY to lose, but I just lost.

I was beaten. Bested. Whatever.

I have lost in wrestling. I have lost in business. I have lost in relationships. Why am I typing this? I’m starting to depress myself.

Anyways, why look at the bad side of losing? I’m gonna’ look at the good side.

Lesson #1 which losing taught me was how to recover after a defeat.

I learned how to come back, how to get my chin up and how to stay positive. It taught me how to smile when I was down and how to dust myself off when I had fallen.

If you are struggling with something right now and feel defeated, I would ask you to remember this – setbacks are simply opportunities for comebacks.

It will not feel like it right now, but this is a HUGE opportunity to turn everything around. What feels like a setback is actually an opportunity for a comeback.

Catch me tomorrow for reason #2 when I talk about eating humble pie.

What a great Re-Blog Barbara Todaro - and 'How To Recover From a Defeat' is something we all could be reminded of, because who hasn't been there, for the 'big' and the 'small' setbacks in life and in business.  Nice Original Blog Khash Saghafi - I look forward to #2!

So true, Barbara Todaro!  I think it matters more how many times 'you get up' as opposed to how many times 'you are knocked down'.
