September Real Estate Transactions Off to Great Start
Based on the number of September Real Estate Transactions during the first week of the month, we're off to a great start! For the first week of September in the Southern Ft. Myers, Estero and Bonita Springs area there were 223 properties sold, up from 153 properties sold during the prior week.
Unlike last week, Bonita Springs started the month of September with the most real estate sales. In all, there were 87 properties sold, up significantly from 51 the prior week. Southern Fort Myers fell into second with 80 real estate transactions versus 53 properties sold the week before. And, last but not least, Estero finished the week with 52 transactions which is up from the week before when there were 49 sales.
So, of the 87 properties sold in Bonita Springs, 38 percent were single family homes, 26 percent were condos and 28 percent were vacant lots. The remaining properties sold in Bonita were mobile homes, multi-family units and a coop.
Additionally, S. Ft. Myers finished the week with 80 properties sold, 34 percent were vacant lots, 15 percent were condos and 46 percent were single family homes. Thus, the remaining real estate transactions in Southern Ft. Myers were multi-family units, mobile homes and commercial units.
Finally, of the 52 closings in Estero, 29 percent were condos, 21 percent were vacant lots and 50 percent were single family homes.
In review, September real estate transactions for the first week of the month in the Southwest Florida area are broken down by the following property types: 52 single family homes, 98 condos, 62 vacant lots, 4 mobile homes, 4 multi-family units, 1 agricultural lot, 1 coop and 1 commercial unit sold during the week.

Southern Fort Myers
- 33912 – 19 properties sold (3 vacant lots, 10 single family homes and 6 condos)
- 33913 – 43 properties sold (1 mobile home, 1 commercial unit, 20 vacant lots, 15 single family homes and 6 condos)
- 33967 – 18 properties sold (2 multi-family units, 4 vacant lots and 12 single family homes)
Estero
- 33928 – 40 properties sold (11 vacant lots, 18 single family homes and 11 condos)
