The images were taken of Ship Rock during twilight using a Tamaron f/5/-6.3 200-500 mm zoom lens stabilized by a tripod.  The red rocks turn crimson in the early evening hours called "Magic Time". The focal length must be stopped down with a precise focus to capture the detail of the moon without washing it out with too much light. Happy Fall!

Hi Endre Barath, Jr. - Taking photos of the moon are almost as hard as taking pics of lightning! The key is to f-stop it down and close that aperture as far as possible without losing too much light and a steady tripod with a thumb trigger off the camera.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® - I've only managed in my lifetime to take one beautiful photo of a full moon and it was in Arizona. That picture was taken long before digital cameras or technology as we know it today. Your photographs are always gorgeous and supports whatever content you are writing about. The Harvest Moon shots and accompanying quotes are simply beautiful and great. I think you saved the best for last, the one from Buzz Aldrin!

Hi Jeff Dowler, CRS - normally we stop and stare with our mouths open and just enjoy it. The back of my house is all glass in the great room so fortunately, it is very hard to miss a sun or moon rise.
