This very appealing entrance would be wonderful for a home, a high rise condo, an office building, or a store. This is the entrance to the Ralph Lauren Store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Although, they recently remodeled their store and expanded it, they kept this beautiful entryway.
This entry leads to two doors. The one on the left is the entrance for their women's collection, and one the right to the men's. Both entrance connect in the back, so that when a couple is shopping they can show each other what they are trying on without having to come outside.
A great curb appeal is an invitation to come inside. Whenever we have looked at property, the front always dictated our willingness to walk in the door. And when we listed a commercial property, we always discussed the entry way, and the landscaping program. These are all subtle signals. They entice people to investigate further, and come in the door.
One of the 10,000 square foot office penthouse 10 year lease we closed, the tenant insisted that the building maintain the landscaping in pristine form. His company was a high profile firm, and he wanted to make sure that even if the building sold, the new owners would continue the landscaping program. Otherwise, he had the right to break his lease! It just goes to show that curb appeal matters..
