BUYERS....Before you "Move Up" a Closing...Ask the Seller !
Oh Yes. Make sure everyone is ready..
. Closing dates in Wisconsin Offers to Purchase are written "on or before....X Date". Whether or not the "on" becomes "before" is not the sole decision of any ONE party. An email from a the Buyer's title company recently announced the closing would be ...this date...that place at this time...a week earlier than the contract...say What ? The Seller had moved so the agent, title company and lender decided to move the date...without cosulting the listing agents/Seller.
Assuming can get you into trouble....in this case there were repairs that required that a city inspector sign off after conpletion and the government runs at their own pace...soooo ,,moving the date was not possible.,
Always check with ALL parties before scheduling things that ALL parties must attend....sounds like common sense doesn't it ? Not always sooo common !
