"Bagster Dumpster in a Bag" by Waste Management
There’s a service available to homeowners through Waste Management that I just learned about. It works like this.
You can buy the Bagster dumpster at a local retailer (e.g., Home Depot, Lowes) or online (e.g., Bagster, Amazon, Home Depot). This is a single use product and not reusable.
You can use the bag when you need it – it will hold up to 3300 lbs. of debris and waste (no appliances/electronics, and green/yard waste is not accepted in all areas), about 3 cubic yards.
You’ll find other specifications noted where they apply; for example heavy materials like dirt, bricks , concrete and rocks must be placed on the bottom 10”, and you are limited to 1 cubic yard of these heavy materials.
The collection is scheduled on the phone or online. The collection service charge is collected at the time of scheduling.
Not all areas are being serviced at this time, even though Waste Management provides services there (boo hoo, not in Carlsbad yet but available next door in Oceanside). You can check for service areas by zip code on the Bagster Website as well determine the fees (these vary by location but when I checked in Oceanside the cost was $141.02, with $8 additional if scheduled through an agent, plus taxes, which seems preetty reasonable).
This sounds like a great service and is perhaps more convenient and less fuss than having a full size dumpster delivered, depending on the scope of the project.
