Throwback Thursday - still standing!

I remember well that day in the Swiss Alps, high above the Lauterbrunnen Valley. It was the last day of a glorious week of hiking and we were on a simple trail aptly named the Panoramaweg. The beauty and majesty of the Alps brought forth from me this expression of joy!

Fast forward 13 years. I still love hiking vacations, still love exploring the mountains, alms and valleys of the Alps (and Andes, and Sierras, and White Mountains, and....)

Delighted and grateful to be still standing, whether on my feet or my head makes no difference!

Switzerland is drop-dead gorgeous, Nina Hollander but I have to say the Dolomite area in northern Italy is equally so.

Hello Beth Atalay - Ouch! Headstands can be tricky. There were two types I mastered in yoga. The one pictured had a whole vinyasa flow to get to that point; the other type much of the pressure was on my forearms and very, very little on my head/neck. It wasn't as much fun to do, but probably safer.

I agree that Switzerland is gorgeous!!

Lottie! I stand in amazement that you did a headstand anywhere, much less in the Swiss Alps. The photo is breathtaking. You rock, lady. I couldn't do that as a teenager, much less 13 years ago.

I'd come up with a tagline and that photo would be plastered all over my website.
