Years ago Rosa Parks refused to sit in the back of a bus and as a result the world changed for the better. Yesterday morning two brave and outspoken women confronted Senator Jeff Flake in an elevator and his position on confirming a Supreme Court Justice was impacted after an earlier statement. Was he given pause as a result of a face to face with those women whose skin in the game was unmistakable: I think he was. Anyone can make a difference and yesterday we saw it. Amen.
People have to speak up for what they believe in or they will not be heard, good for them doing that.

Friday was a really emotional, roller coaster way. I am grateful for the two women, and for Jeff Flake for doing the right thing. Isn't it odd that it is only the lame ducks in Congress that seem to do the special things for the people. The reason is they no longer are beholden to special interests which are entrenched in their agendas, rather than working for the good of the people.

It was amazing to watch...I was at the tv all day and much of the next day too. I'm so glad the investigation is happening. I just hope they find what they need to resolve this. For the record I absolutely believe her and I am impressed beyond words at her courage.

When you see a woman of strength, character, courage and conviction in the unfortunate position of having to confront the mostly all white male Senate by being forced to explain in detail one of the most awful situations of memories past, it's incredibly humbling.
I also think every victim of sexual assault has been feeling her pain and watching the way others have tried to humilate Dr. Ford, and the others, for coming forward. It's no wonder women are so danged hesitate to speak up. We are treated like $hit when we do.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
