Here is a nest of a black bee or what I believe is a wasp.
They build these nests with material that they get from plants and, well, spit.
One thing is these guys are not nice neighbors.
If they feel anything is a threat, they are all over them.
Not just one but sometimes a dozen.
I saved this nest.
It is used for about 4 weeks and when I could
tell they were gone I cut the nest.
Please be careful...they can be mean!
those are hornets. Wasps don't build a hive, they build an open nest. Those suckers are deadly if you get too many stings and they tend to swarm in larger groups

I was showing a house once, and I heard some noise in a room and carefully opened the door. Yes, you guessed it, that was the "Bee" room. I'm not sure where the nest was. I didn't do any more exploring. I told the listing agent and hopefully she took care of it. Imagine if a buyer or agent was allergic!

I do agree with Myrl Jeffcoat's comment...their home designs are pretty impressive!
I just got in to an argument last night with a group of wasps that had build a nest in a recessed can light on our balcony. After a trip to pick up for wasp and hornet spray they have been evicted.
They will chase you if you mess with them. The sprayer better have a long range nozzle on it. Spray and run.
