Since 1965, Neighborhood Services has been a food pantry and resource center for the central Columbus community. Our goal is to improve the quality of life in the Columbus community by compassionately and respectfully serving our neighbors in need, with an emphasis on neighbors in the Columbus zip codes of 43201, 43202, 43210 and 43211. We partner with Mid-Ohio Foodbank, local grocers and organizations to stock our pantry, and offer a 5-day supply of food on each visit according to family size.
At Neighborhood Services, 40 percent of our neighbors are children (0 to 17) and 13 percent are seniors (60+). Our choice pantry is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition to our food pantry, we have a monthly fresh produce market, a clothing room, serve as an Ohio Benefit Bank and indirect SNAP Benefit Outreach site. We also have holiday programs, including food baskets for Easter and Thanksgiving and toys during Christmas, have a back-to-school backpack program, are an AARP tax aide site and finally we offer senior food boxes to at least 100 seniors each month.
