This afternoon I will be taking my oldest pup Billy the Kid to the Vet. He hasn't been well and I want to know why and see if there is something, anything that can be done for him to make him better and if not better at least more comfortable. I have had Billy for just over ten years and he is smart, sassy and aware. Of all my gang he is the most independent and head strong. Please keep a good thought for us.
I hope there is something the Vet can do to help your little guy Sheila. I'm sure you'll update us. Something was wrong with Barney last week and we couldn't figure it out. We then noticed he was always shaking his head - and we discoverd he was scratching on one of his ears. He has horrible allergies. The vet helped him out with antibiotics and another allergy shot. He's almost back to normal today - which means constant wanting to go outside and stir up some trouble with other dogs.

Hi Sheila: Oh, my goodness, I hope Billy can find medication that will help with his ails. During our last stages with our cat, Pica, we gave him buprenorphine 3 times a day, and he was so happy and relaxed all that time.

Hello Elizabeth. So far the only thing we know for sure is that his kidney level is 4 times what it should be. On Monday the other blood work will be back and I have to try and get a urine sample. TY Sheila
Hi Alexandra. There is a kidnety lovel that is very high and the Vet says no cure for that. He will probably need a prescription diet but aside from that it is scary. See above comment too. I am really scared. TY Sheila
We just had a fat pocket taken our of Henri and anytime he has to go under we have major anxiety.

Hi Kathy. He said there was no cure and we could try a special food. I need to get a urine sample and Monday we will get the other tests back. I'm really scared but TY. Sheila
I know about those special diet furkids. Hope that will help and that you get good news from the rest of the bloodwork on Monday. It's dreadful when there is nothing at all we can do. Our herd is all up in age with the youngest being 10 and the oldest 16 and we're the point of constant trips to the vet, but we will keep them happy and comfortable as long as we can.

Sheila, I am so so sorry to hear Billy the Kid is having problems. My oldest dog has had that same issue for about a year now and it's a challenge, to say the least. I am sending you and Billy positive thoughts. I sure hope Monday's bloodwork provides more information to work from and help him out.
