Each year, around February, the St. Elizabeth Greek Orthodox church puts on a Greek festival for the whole community. The 2-day fete includes: live Greek music, Greek food, wine, jewelry/apparel vendors and bounce houses and activities for the kids. You are also able to tour the church and view the beautiful art within. Many of the residents on Millhopper Rd. near the church walk or ride their bikes to enjoy the event.
This year, a second festival was put on the weekend of October 6th and 7th as a benefit for the victims of the wildfires in Greece.
St. Elizabeth is located at: 5129 NW 53rd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32653

These photos were taken on the last day of the event, just about 2 hours before closing, as the crowd was winding down:
These photos were taken when I went to the festival in February. It rained so hard that day that it blew away one of the tents and the vendor above had left by the time I got there. I enjoyed viewing the incredible art in the lovely church.
