An elderly woman called 911 on her cellphone to report that her car had been broken into.
"They've stolen everything! The radio, my dashboard compass, even the steering wheel!!!"
The dispatcher responded, "Stay calm, a police officer is on the way."
Minutes later the officer arrived and radioed in "disregard the last call...she got in the backseat by mistake."

OMG, I am still laughing out loud, girlfriend!
What is funny now (since he didn't kill anyone back when!) is that my father-in-law drove WAY beyond the time he should have. We tried to have him declared incompetent but, boy, he was good and they denied us! But, seriously, the local police (and we have a very large police department) all knew him by name - he was constantly being pulled over!
Wow, I didn't see that coming so guess I better beware as it could happen to me.
