Sedona Weather Stats Update
September 2018 Sedona Weather Summary
September 2018 Sedona Weather Stats Update - Our weather transition to Fall starts in mid-August. So by September the low temps are in the mid- 50ºs. You can feel the crisp air and smell the pine. It is wonderful! We did have 8 more days over last year above 90º which brought the mean temp up by 3º. But by evening, the windows were open allowing the AC to be turned off. There were a couple of days we did not even turn the AC on. One day had a high of 67º! That particular day we got a cold rain. Total rain for the month was .78 inches.
300 Days of Sunshine?
We are a 9 months into the year and have 239 days of sunshine so far. We are on the way to another 300 days of sunshine for the year! We only need 20 days a month to reach that goal.

Finding That Ideal Weather Temperature Range
It is now October and we have a summary for Sedona weather up through September 2018. I think it is important to re-introduce the three new categories that were added. My husband was trying to find a consensus on what is the ideal weather temperature range. The more research he did, he found that this was extremely subjective...(duh!). Everyone has a different opinion of what they consider to be a comfortable range. So he added the 3 ranges that were not accounted for on the previous chart. You will find them in green.
An Example ---> A Fairly Mild January 2018 !
If I tell you that the Sedona weather was fairly mild in January; without the green ranges above, you might not see it. But by including the 3 additional ranges, you can see that in January, there was 1 day in the 70º's and 18 days in the 60º's. So two-thirds of the month of January was above 60º! This gives the reader a better idea of what the writer considers to be mild. Also, it will help you identify what you feel is "comfortable weather", and ultimately, your range is what really matters. The Sedona Weather Almanac has the complete history from 2010 of rain and snow totals by month as well as mean temperature for each month. It also has the highest and lowest temperature by month and the historic average for comparison.
