No matter how busy the day gets, I find reading meme's of people I know to be interesting and fun.  So after reading Jay Thompson's last blog post with his answers, I decided to keep it going.

1.    Who is your favorite musical artist? (post a youtube video)

I know I don't look the part, but I am a big fan of rap music, especially the old school stuff.  I can Karaoke the heck out of some Beastie Boys!

But one of my favorite all time artists (cue the cheesy music here) is Peter Cetera.  Don't know why, but I loved him when I was in high school and I always carry that with me.  I got to see him a few years ago at Chastain Park in Atlanta (one of my favorite places to see music in the country) and he was awesome.  He did lose some major cool points when he sang "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" in the seventh inning stretch of a Cubs game last year and flubbed the words, but I still like him. Glory of Love, Karate Kid! http://youtube.com/watch?v=EmSJDOVGIL8

I also love to Spin.  So anything fast and a little angry get a lot of play on my ipod.

2. Who is your favorite artist.

There are so many, but the first name that pops into my head is Jim Dine.  I love chunky use of color in paintings.

3. Who is your favorite blogger?

Ok, there are some REALLY good real estate bloggers out there and I would give credit to you all if I could.

However, and I hope I don't lose anyone's respect here, my favorite blogger who I probably read AT LEAST three times a day is Perez Hilton at perezhilton.com.  Trashy, I know.  Yet addicting.

4. If you could meet anyone (alive or dead), who would it be and what is the most interesting thing about them?

Knowing my answer to number 3 above, I would like to know what it is like to be a A list celebrity for the day.  What it would be like to have paparazzi following you and designers chasing you to wear their dress to the next show and the treatment you get at the best restaurants and clubs.  I suppose I would get sick of it in about three days, but I would love to experience it just to see.

5. What did you want to be when you grew up?

My parents probably thought I was the lamest kid of all, but I always said I wanted to be the Treasurer Of The Secretary Of The US.  I wanted to be able to sign all the money!  I hauled my dad's old briefcase around and kept all my allowance and secret treasures in there, like I was really important.

Here is a pretty cool story though.  I few years ago I was digging through all my old k-12 school papers.  I found a paper I wrote in 7th grade about what I wanted to be when I grew up.  I said I wanted to be an Advertising Account Executive and travel around the country talking to people and giving presentations about how to advertise.  My inspiration was Angela from Who's The Boss.  But from then on I always knew I wanted to be in advertising.  Goes to show that if you write down a goal, you can achieve it.

In my 7th grade paper I wrote about how if I was really successful and worked really hard, I could hope to earn up to $28,000!!!

6. What is the most interesting piece of trivia you know?

A watermelon is 92% water.

7. If you could live in any point in history what would it be and why?

I enjoy the conveniences of today too much to wish to live any time earlier.  The future intrigues me more than the past.  I especially look forward to the day when we don't need cars, I hate driving.

8. What is the most interesting job you have ever held?

In college I wanted to minor in Calligraphy.  I didn't finish the minor because it would have required an additional year of school and I never read about any Calligraphiers that hit it big, so settled for just taking the classes for fun.  But to make money I would calligraphy name cards for weddings.  It was a good gig.  I got to sit and watch soap operas in between college classes and do name cards for 50 cents a piece.  The hardest part about it for me was that I am a terrible speller.  The name Michael also got me, as I thought it was Micheal.

I hate passing the Meme on, as I know everyone has so much going on all the time.  But I think my co-worker Spencer has been blogging here on Active Rain for over a year now and has never had it.  He is crazy busy, but if he has time, I am sure his answers would be interesting.

Hope one lost too much respect for me after some of those cheezy answers!

Sara, boy the Meme's are flying around cyberspace once again.  I got tagged as well, but just haven't had the time and energy to write another one quite yet.  Signing all the money sure would be kinda cool, but only if you got to keep it!

You're right about memes.  It's nice to know a little bit more about people you interact with online.

I see we have a mutual affection for calligraphy.  So does Steve Jobs (and look where it lead him)
