And I thought Truth or Dare was Fun...Super Meme 2008 is Waaayy Better!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Heritage Realty

Well, it's kinda like chicken pox...if you hang out long enough with those who are contagious, you are bound to catch them...

This morning, I was just tagged by Debbie Summers (who I've been hanging out with at the Street of Dreams) to write a meme...Funny thing is, I don't even know what the heck "a Meme" is...but since I'm a fun-loving kind of girl and it sounds like fun, it must be fun, right?

As a new member to AR (I just joined about 5 weeks ago, so please be nice to me!), I've already learned so much. I guess now is your chance to learn a little from (I mean, about) me :)

1. Who is your favorite musical artist?  Keith Urban. Not only is he hot, but he is very talented. He can play an awesome guitar, has an incredible voice (maybe because he's Australian), knows how to work the keys on a piano, looks sexy in jeans and takes ownership for his mistakes. Hmmm, did I mention he was HOT?

2. Who is your favorite artist?  Gosh, that's a hard one. Honestly, I'd have to say it's my 7 year-old son, Konnor. I know he's not famous yet, but he will be one day...keep his name handy...you're sure to see his work in a showroom/studio in the years to come. His most recent work is below...did I hear someone say they'll pay $200?? How about $300??

Ok, I know, I shouldn't be pimping out my kid's artwork...sorry about that, it's the saleperson in me :)

3. Who is your favorite blogger?  Well, I'd have to say Debbie Summers...She's the one who invited me to join Active Rain and other groups (Seminole County and Meme) AND she is willing to teach me what she knows...even though we work in the same office and some might consider us direct competitors. Debbie and I have a mutually beneficial friendship and besides, she knows I'll never beat her in points...I am sure once I'm around a while longer, I'll learn more about other "bloggers' so please, don't cry, I'll pick you next time ;0

4. If you could meet anyone (alive or dead), who would it be and what is the most interesting thing about them?

I'm not really sure I can narrow it down to just one person, but if I HAVE to give an answer this very moment, how about Keith Urban?  I'm just kidding, really...

I'd like to meet Dr. Phil...My husband says I need to see a "professional" to get over this obsession I have with Keith Urban, and so I figured Dr. Phil would be a good choice...don't you think?

Honestly, I think it would be a true honor meet so many different people that I just can't pick one...a few of those I'd think would be interesting to meet are John F. Kennedy, Oprah, David Letterman, Ronald Reagan and of course, Nicole Kidman (maybe she'll introduce me to Keith Urban...:0) LOL

5. What did you want to be when you grew up?   Rich and famous...like those people on MTV and General Hospital...no really, I wanted to be a teacher...until I realized after the first year in a classroom that I needed four more years of college in classes just on PATIENCE.

6. What is the most interesting piece of trivia you know? That Debbie Summers has milked cows and she liked it...I think that's pretty interesting, don't you? Other than that, not sure what other "trivia" I know, but I'll think on it and get back to you!

7. If you could live in any point in history what would it be and why?    I'd live back in the day when there were no phones, no TV's, no Blackberry's, no implanted chips with my dogs DNA on file at the vet and no computers.  I'd like to be able to enjoy eating red meat, drinking wine, using plastic bottles for my water, breathing (without the fear of inhalling cancer causing fumes) and most importantly, enjoy spending time with friends and family without worrying about the latest "scare" or technology tool that makes me so accessible that I can't even go to the bathroom without someone knowing where I am, how long I was there and whether I had a good time or not :)

8. What is the most interesting job you have ever held?  I've been a day camp counselor, lifeguard, teacher, marketing director for the YMCA and a Real Estate agent. Of those, I'd say my "job" as a Real Estate agent is the "most interesting" as it's kind of like all of the above rolled into one...I counsel Sellers and Buyers like I did when I ran Summer Camp...the "kids" are just older now and fight over money and drapes and repairs instead of who got to the swing first or which one stole the other one's Lego. As a Real Estate agent, I also feel like I am a Lifeguard many times, warning Buyers to look for certain things that could hurt worse than diving in the shallow end...and when I have "rescued" a deal from falling apart, it gives me the same feeling that I got when I'd jump in to help a little kid who slipped under water and couldn't save themselves. Of course, when I was a teacher, that was a lot like being a Real Estate agent...I tried to keep the principal, parents, other teachers, students, school board, etc. happy, all while juggling a class full of children who weren't necessarily the best behaved or had the desire to listen and follow directions...again, many of the same skills I needed in that job, I use in my current career every day, which is why I'd have to say the one I have now is the love the most!

Well, enough about me...I'd like to tag:

 1. Lane Bailey

2. Jason Crouch

3. Dawn Maloney

I guess that's all for now...Looking forward to knowing each of you more!

OMG - You really have an obsession with Keith Urban, what you haven't told everyone that you are married to a "hot" husband Rick who treats you like a queen just like Keith Urban treats Nicole.  I'm not so sure why everyone is obsessed with my cow milking past... but it makes me giggle.

Excellent job on your first meme, I'm sure you will get tagged again if you aren't careful.

Welcome LaShawn! Nice first post. I like keith Urban too, and I think you're right that the australian accent has alot to do with his appeal.

Mrs. Urban - I enjoyed this meme of yours.  Very candid and interesting.  My daughter is also seven and the artistic one in our house.  Great stuff!
