Today may very well be our 1st day of winter in Minot North Dakota. I hope the snow that is falling (blowing sideways) today isn't the first to "stick" until April 2019.
They are not calling it a blizzard or even a winter storm but the temp is in the mid 20's, it's snowing, and the wind speed is a constant 20 miles per hour. Just in the few blocks from home to office I saw 3 fairly serious accidents.
Drive careful, this is just the start!
Be careful when you need to be out and about.
We have a rainy day in Maryland which is delaying our roof replacement.

... just kidding. We had a lot of early voting here but I sure would like to see everyone get out and vote. On my way to lunch I drive by the polling place and it looked a little light but it could have just been the timing.
The 1st couple are really bad here Will Hamm because of the Air Force Base... many of the young men and women there have never seen snow before. It was really bad the 1st couple of years of our oil boom because we had a lot of folks from down South that had never driven on snow and as you know there is a HUGE learning curve to winter driving.

Belinda Spillman I just got home and I was very happy to see my 17 year old son's car was home and dent free . I think this weather came straight out of Canada. Usually when a storm heads North out of CO it tends to go SW of us by about 100 miles.
We got a bit less than this but the ground was still white while I was hunting

The wind does cut through you if you don't dress right Kathy Streib . At least it's still above zero... that's when you break out the long johns.
