Yippee! Right? Maybe not...

I heard that oil prices went down $4 a barrel the other day!  Great news!!  Right?  At least, that's what I thought.

I thought that gas prices were directly related to the price of oil.  Right?

If this is the case, then why did gas prices shoot up 13 cents over night?  Shouldn't the gas prices have gone down?

I don't know...  What do I know...?  I guess I don't know much about the reasoning  behind gas prices.

that will mean that they will lose and extra billon in earnings for this week. . they are very slow when they need to lower. . but next time it goes back up $4 . .gasoline prices will be goin .  .

you see

I couldn't even finish my sentence!

You would think they would be related....Gas just went to $3.92 here in Minnesota.  Thats the most I've seen ever here.

Debi, you're exactly right. Now that the gas stations have found out that we'll pay nearly $4.00 a gallon, the price is indeed tied to the price of oil. If oil prices go up, gas goes up. If oil goes down, gas goes up. If oil stays the same, gas goes up. :)

Fernando -  It's amazing isn't it?  Just let somebody think about the possibility that maybe the price of oil will go up - And gas shoots sky high...  Amazing...

Ryan - Maybe it's related to what side of the bed somebody woke up on that morning...  :)

Don - Good question...hmmmmmmm?  :)

Steve - You said it exactly right...Unfortunately...  :)

Debi.. You are right.. why don't they throw us a bone.. lower the price of gas a big.. .3 cents a gallon?  I just paid... at the lowest pump around $4.17 a gallon.. at most stations it is $4.21 to $4.35 a gallon for regular unleaded.  UGH!!!
