Statistics can often be misleading. Especially when there's just not that many numbers comprising of the stats. I live and work in a small resort town in Colorado. Each month I'm torn between reporting the stats or digging up the truth. This month I did both. ; ) From Ski Town USA - the debate about the stats.

Hi Charlie. Loved your post. We have a lot in common. I also like to do market reports and understand that it's tough to do in a small market. I actually used to live in Steamboat Springs. Beautiful town but I am an east coast girl. Now live in Stowe, Vermont and have been here for many years. Stowe is sort of an east coast version of Steamboat. Thanks for the way you presented the numbers! Well done.

Small town dynamics are tough Teresa DeLuca Merelman and many times it's hard to pin point a price because we have so few transactions. It's not like a big city where homes trade hands every day. Hope you have a snowy white winter in Stowe.

Thank Jan Green - 8% is above average. Good for owners but not great for buyers. A little more stability is always good.

It's a pretty quiet place, but we love it and love having wildlife for our nearest neighbors.
SteamboatSprings, where the zoo comes to you. That's what I like to say Marte Cliff and it sound like PR, Idaho too.
Our elderly neighbor who passed away last year used to mention that a lot. He said it was wonderful to live in a place where you could see wildlife that was wild rather than in a cage.

My morning communit today I was blessed with seeing a large moose. Colorado never get's old. I'm sure Idaho is the same Marte Cliff
You're right. We get to see a moose every now and then - sometimes in the meadow below the house. Also deer, elk, coyotes, and an occasional bear.
