Making Videos and Slide-shows in Windows Explorer, a replacement for Windows Movie Maker
I am surprised that it took me so long to notice this little feature in Windows 10, I am generally much quicker at picking up the attributes of a system or program.
For several years my friends and I have been sneaking back to one of our Windows 7 machines to do our videos on Windows Movie Maker, not noticing that we can do the same and possibly more right here in Windows 10.
Just by accident while making a slide-show for our lobby display at the Keller Williams office in Stevens Point, I noticed that this was possible.
And very simple too.
- Just open a folder in Windows Explorer with the videos and photos that you would like to include in your video.
- Select the videos and or photos
- Right click and select “Create a new video”
- And watch for the magic to begin as the photo app opens and starts it’s work
- Name your video
- Arrange your photos and videos in the order you want them
- Add text, effects and all sorts of other fun stuff.
Time to get back into video creation mode, we all know how much Google and Facebook seem to enjoy these things.
