Every year, I'm getting into the Christmas spirit by putting together my Christmas Home Tour, and I hope I will bring that spirit into other homes as well.
But first things first! In order to build up anticipation for the upcoming season, I love the tradition of having an Advent calendar in my home.
I'm from Germany where every child gets one and is looking forward every morning to open the next little gift. These calendars come in all kinds of shapes and gift categories, from chocolate to entire Lego sets or cosmetics (for adults).
I prefer the handmade ones and have featured my favorite ideas on my blog.
Once, you have set up your Advent Calendar it's probably time to think about the gifts you are planning to get for your loved ones.
No matter the denomination, gift giving is a big part of human interaction, and I cherish this tradition every year. Again, handmade gifts are my personal favorite.
I believe, that the time and effort that goes into a handmade gift is worth far more than something you bought during a trip to the mall. Of course, it can be tricky to find the right present, that's why I created a list of easy and personal DIY Christmas gift ideas.
