Living without Electricity

When the electricity is off, I am reminded every time, how much we rely on it. I t is  so important.  A

Hi Sheila- by now I hope that your power is back on!!!!!  And, as you've already been "scolded" I know that next time you'll call an electrician. 

Recently my childhood home burned because of electrical problems.  So I am glad you called an electrician and that things are in order now.  I will replace fixtures with the breaker turned off, but I don't go beyond that and sparks would scare the crap out of me.

I also learned my lesson long ago, I won't mess with electricity again. Having an older home poses risks. It's great that you had it checked out when you bought but there are also other mechanicals in the house that may need attention. I hope your electrician gives you the green light that you are safe. 

Sheila, I try to do the small stuff around here, but electricity is NOT one of them.   Too easy to get shocked.

I know my limitations and electricity is defiantly one of them.  I leave that to the experts.  Hopefully, it is nothing that difficult

I had a home inspector who told me when working with electricity to always keep one hand in your pocket - if you don't know what you are doing when working with electricity - keep both hands in your pockets! 

I'm definitely not capable of hadling these tasks
