Watch the sun cast a purple alpenglow onto the Sierras while trekking through Tahoe's peaceful forest. Experience the solitude of winter at this special time of day while learning local natural and human history. Offered daily, November-April or by custom arrangement. No experience necessary. Trailheads are based on snowpack and the group's activity level. All abilities welcome age 8 years and up.
Trip includes:
Snowshoes, poles, hot drinks, trail snacks, knowledgeable guides, natural history discussions, and permit fees.
Group Sunset Snowshoe Tours are scheduled every Friday but can be booked any day of the week with a minimum of 4 people. If you are a single traveler, please call to see if there is a group to join!
Typical Distance and Time: 2-4 miles... Based on Sunset Time.
Level of Difficulty: Easy-Moderate.
Location: Based on snowpack and conditions.
Cost: $70.00 per person 4 person minimum.
