Photos from the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting
Carlsbad Village 2018
Carlsbad’s annual Holiday Tree Lighting took place yesterday at the Carlsbad Village Faire in the Village.
We didn’t attend for the whole event but saw the last 45 minutes of the holiday program. There was a huge crowd in the parking lot, on the street and hanging out on both stories of the Village Faire to enjoy the music, and watch the Carlsbad High School Lancer Dancers and the XCalibur dance teams (including a bunch of young kids) perform before the tree lighting.
Mayor Matt Hall was on hand for the countdown to the tree lighting a little bit after 4:30. It wasn’t very dark so the lights didn’t show up all that well (my opinion) but it was a fun event and good to see so many people out in the Village, enjoying the festivities.
I also met this very cute dog who was looking pretty spiffy in his bright red outfit. I asked his own if I could take a photo and share it. I also asked if she was taking him to the Pets on Parade event this coming Sunday - she was not aware of it so I told her all about it!
