Eye on the Prize: Jack wins, or does he?

Just to give you a little background: Diane and I were in Boston not too long ago for the Active Rain Meetup organized by our friend Lisa Von Domek   and Diane noticed a Christmas Tree in one of the store fronts in the Prudential Mall.  Making my living of observing people’s reaction:  It was clear to me she wanted it. Well after searching high and low on the internet, I managed to find one. Lucky for me it arrived before the holidays, hence my thought was we should be able to enjoy it a bit longer.

Easy instructions  to assemble the tree in four languages. It clearly showed me, that  the definition of “what is easy “ is a relative term. Not wanting to exaggerate, but it took me close to two hours and moving it to two different location to assemble this Christmas Tree. Great news, the tree was tested and finally we had success.

When Diane  arrived, she was giving mixed signals much to my chagrin, excitement and concerns for the cats… with that said, Jack was eyeballing the tree. At night we would close Diane’s Office door.

Everything seemed to be under control, the Tree was snowing as it was supposed to, Diane was complaining a little about the snow falling outside of the protective umbrella. Life was good, she moved it a bit away from the Central Heat blower, hoping that would fix the problem.  (FYI it did not)

Today, I anticipated a quiet day due to President Bush 41’s eulogy and funeral. Clearly life of a Los Angeles Pet Friendly Realtor might be different from any  other occupation. Late afternoon two of my escrows started acting up. I was on the phone trying to manage the challenges, when I heard a large crash. As soon as finished my call, I was looking for the cause of the crashing sound. Jill was on the couch with Wiley, they both reacted like I did. Next thing I know is, I see Jack coming out of Diane’s Office. Clearly, I knew he was the guilty party.  I gave a quick reprimand to Jack anyway see for yourself.

I know most of you were expecting me to write about Jill did this, but for a change it was not Jill, she was innocent, Jack was the guilty party. He is lucky he does not live in a home that would not forgive his crimes. The little angel was the guilty culprit.

So, with that said I spent about 45 minutes cleaning up the “snow” and then Diane called, and I said let yourself in I am in your office. When she  came home,  she already knew  what the problem was and continued for another 30 minutes cleaning up the mess…

In case you are wondering, The Christmas Tree is back in operation as if nothing happened. The only difference is we are distrustfully watching the Animal Farm… Now back to my original question did Jack win?

In conclusion, if you have cats be prepared for havoc and destruction of your Christmas Decorations😊!!!!
