Notes around Flower Mound, Texas
Many people can continue to find low gas prices in and around Flower Mound. I filled up at $1.89 per gallon yesterday morning. When I got to Dallas, I saw some stations were selling regular for as low as $1.85 per gallon. It may be raining and cloudy out here, but people are still driving and smiling in the rain after filling up at these low prices.
The 2018 Flower Mound Christmas Tree and Lighting began at 6:00 p.m. on 12/8 and ended around 9:00 p.m. The nighttime parade had lighted floats going down Spinks Road to Gerault Park for the lighting of the Christmas Tree. The ceremony offered pictures with Santa, a choir, and of course FOOD! It was chilly and raining but spirits were not dampened in Flower Mound. Always be sure to dress appropriately and drive safely on the roads. Texting and driving is against the law.
I stopped at Wild Birds Unlimited before they closed. They continue to collect canned good for the food pantry for CCA (Christians Community Center). Please donate. Supplies are low this year.

Silent Night
Flower Mound is located on the northern edge of Grapevine Lake. Just north of Cross Timbers Road, if you happen to be driving along Shiloh Road in Flower Mound during the month of December, you may find yourself driving down a dark country road. Suddenly your eyes will be drawn to see the light glow of twinkling lights in the distance. If you see a row of cars pulled over and they are parked, you may want to park. Out in the pasture is a single large tree all lit up. I'm guessing it is around 40 feel tall. There's nothing more beautiful around Christmas than to experience one Silent Night. For some, it could be a holy night. This blog post was updated on Tuesday, 12/11 with a new photo taken by me on Monday night on 12/10 around midnight. It was a beautiful Silent Night!
