Charlotte Snowmageddon 2018 - That's All You've Got?

I didn't want to go to bed last night - the snow was falling (in relatively large quantity)! We could hardly wait to open the blinds this morning to see what Mother Nature left us while we slept - it was much like Christmas Eve to us!

My first comment was, "That's all you've got for us? What?" All of the hype about 4-6 inches, then a foot, then 2-4 inches of snow that we would be getting overnight...prepare, prepare, prepare? Well, we prepared and this morning, instead, we woke up to cold and wet! What is so surprising is that the Charlotte Observer (newspaper) delivery had still not happened at this writing (9:30AM). I'm okay with that - I get my news online but, I think Ray is more disappointed about no paper than no snow! LOL

My entire family are avid snow skiers and golfers - I've never done either, Lottie Kendall! Now, I can and do water ski and can knock out a slalom course easily but, we never lived in the mountains and always spent our vacations in coastal areas!

You bet, Will Hamm! Instead, we have ice and freezing sleet falling! It's a great day to stay in by the fire!

I had buyers who cancelled our showings for today, yesterday, thinking it was going to be snowing. I phoned them this morning to see if they still wanted to go and they said they loved a home they saw yesterday so, we may be putting in an Offer today instead...and watching our Panthers!

Hi Debe, It's hard when you're preparing for a nice snow cover and don't get it. I'd be a bit disappointed - though there is a bit of winter left to get some more snow.

You're dissappointed? I remember waking up to that blanket of fresh snow covering everything - and yes it can be breathtaking. In fact I had a dream last night something like that. So glad it was just a dream!
