The Power & Pain of Change

By
Real Estate Agent with HomeSmart

You have heard about change, haven’t you?

It is constant.

To tell you the truth, just in the last couple of years, I have absorbed the truth about change, and how it continues to go on week after week, day after day, hour after hour, and sometimes every few minutes.

Depending where you are, what you are doing, who you are with, how many people you are with.

Let’s look at the Pain of Change first, so we can get it over with, ok?

The Pain in Change one example:

November 8th my wife’s sister passed away. She lived in West Virginia.

We live in Arizona. I began immediately to book her a reservation for the next day.

My wife was there for a week, she came home on a Friday, and the call came three days later, that her mother had passed away, arrangements for her to be in West Virginia for another week.

This has been horribly painful for my wife.

That is just one example of the pain in change, there are hundreds of others, loss of employment, divorce, seriousness illness of a relative, your ID stolen, losing in a competition of any sort.

The list goes on.

Now let’s examine the Power of Change:

A promotion, and increase in income, the purchase of a home, the purchase of a new car, even better: the winning of a new home or new car.

Finding out you are going to become a father, mother, grandmother, grandfather, great grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, uncle.

Joining the military, leaving the military, retirement, winning an award, and there are literally hundreds of others.

You get the point.

Some people can cope with positive change but not negative possibly.

The key is to focus, on this is LIFE, and this is how God created LIFE, and that is the way it is.

What I sometimes do a couple of times a week, when negative change comes about, immediately I begin to count on my fingers, you know how you did when you were two years old.

I just don’t hold my fingers up for others to see.

And I count at least 10 positive things I have currently going on in my life.

You may have heard: Time changes everything.

Yesterday at midnight, we changed to this week.

Tonight, at midnight we will change to tomorrow.

In just 21 days we will change to next year.
