More changes are ahead at the “Today” show on NBC.

Kathie Lee Gifford, who co-hosts the fourth hour with Hoda Kotb, announced she is leaving the program in April after 11 years.  “It’s bittersweet as these things always here,” Gifford said on the air Tuesday. “It’s an exciting time for me and I’m thrilled about all the projects that are coming up. It’s also hard because the reason I stayed longer than a year is because I love everybody here so much.”  Gifford, who joined the program in 2008 after a successful run on “Live with Regis and Kathie Lee," said she originally intended to stay on “Today” for only a year, “but something happened along the way. I fell in love with a beautiful Egyptian goddess,” Gifford said of her co-host.
