Just in time for Christmas, the Cleveland Museum of Art has acquired a circa-1675 marble sculpture, “Sleeping Christ Child’’ by Filippo Parodi, an associate of the great Italian Baroque sculptor Gianlorenzo Bernini. The Parodi is on view today for the first time in the museum’s Gallery 217, the Reid Gallery, alongside the museum’s late altarpiece by Caravaggio of the crucifixion of Saint Andrew and “Boy Drinking,” by Annibale Carracci.
