No secret....I LOVE to cook...in addition to writing..it is stress relief for me...and a creative outlet as time allows...we cook very little with a book and more often by taste and modification of a recipe.
Never have been much of a baker...My Mom was a great yeast dough baker...home made bread, cinnamon rolls....I can smell them now...a "from scratch" speciality of hers.
Lots of times ....most especially now...there seems to be more entertainment time and less time to prepare. Thank you Trader Joe's for your assortment of appetizers and "fixings" for them...appreciate the time saving you give us without sacrificing...mmmm....delicious !
Here is a very quick and easy dessert....or with coffee...as an "ice cream ornament" kind of addition you can prepare in minutes and they keep well in the fridge. The recipe is from our friends at Taste of Home...and your guests will love them !
Two Ingredients...! Just Pomegranate Seeds... and you can have your elves separate these while watching TV.... and stir them into melted chocolate chips...and chill in the fridge about an hour on sheets of foil or wax paper. Serve in cupcake papers...this time of year lots of colors/designs available to brighten your table. A little bit tart...a little bit sweet. While you have the melted chocolate...dark, light or white you can also go the sweet and salty route and dip mini pretzels or pretzel rods with sprinkles. There you have it...fun to dip and drizzle...easy to make....and sooo good...the pomegranates are even good for you with lots of vitamin C,
potassium and fiber...what a way to get nutrients...mmmm !
ENJOY ! From the Kitchen of Hansons Both.
