One of the questions I get as the holiday season kicks into high gear is where are good stores to shop for Christams.
Several of my "go to stores" year after year are:
Rich Designs/I Saw It First - a fantastic boutique store filled with gifts that are unique and always a huge hit.
Abatina - a fun store tucked away in the Southwest area of Colorado Springs on 8th Street near Cheyenne Road. Here you will find a well rounded selection of gift selection including: gourmet cooking, wide area of books, jewelry, women's clothing, childrens section and more.
Old Colorado City - take some time to walk this historic block of businesses to find the perfect gift. Local honey store, womens clothing, Colorado made specialties and Rocky Mountain Chocolate just to name a few. Add to that coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries and live music.
The Olive Tap - get your tastebuds ready to sample away. The variety of olive oils, pairings and pre-wrapped gifts is pleasing to the eye and the wallet. Always a crowd pleaser. I have found several stocking stuffers for my stocking while "sampling" for others.
The Christmas Store - Manitou Springs and Shops at Briargate -- With the addition of their sister store now at Shops at Briargate the Christmas Store is a great resource for Christmas shopping or just adding to your holiday decor. From custom ornaments to locally made finds to treasurers to collect they have them and do a great job with custom touches for ornaments and gifts as needed.
Downtown Colorado Springs - With the outdoor ice skating rink downtown Colorado Springs offers something for everyone when it comes to shopping for the holidays. With a wide variety of stores and ice skating waiting for anyone tired of shopping there is something for everyone. Restaurants and coffee shops are also available throughout the downtown district so whether stopping for lunch, dinner or to grab a gift card all is easily found.
