Musical entertainment at the Manhattan Beach Farmers MarketAnd for the little ones, there is an musical entertainer to keep them occupied and safe from boredom, while their parents do their shopping.

Many young families with kids make the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market a weekly event.  Local workers from nearby offices also make a stop here for a scrumptious, impromptu picnic (how do pita chips, hummus, dolmads, and fresh squeezed juice sound?).

10 Comments on Photo Tour of the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market

Morning Tiffany - Your farmer's market has some beautiful looking veggies. The desserts look good too. However what is a papusas?

To see what a papusa is (I can't explain it better than this website), visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pupusa.  I can tell you that they smell AWESOME when they are being freshly cooked.  I have yet to try one though...  Very soon I suspect  :)

Tiffany - AWESOME thread.  Thanks so much for posting this to AR Foodaholics!!  The pics are great.  I just looked at that papusa thing and man does that sound good.  Any type of bread or carbohydrate stuffed with cheese or other yummy fillings is always of interest to me. I love the fresh produce, herbs and baked goods of a Farmer's Market.  The edible art booth would definitely get some attention from me as well.

If I get a chance I'll do a photo tour of our local Farmer's Market here in Gainesville, FL!!

Great post.  It is nice to see other areas support local open markets.  We have one in Salem on Saturday mornings that just opened up again

Thank you for the tour. Our farmers market does not start for a couple more weeks and I can't wait. Thanks for sharing your pics. Have a great week.
