2018 Holiday Trash Collection Schedule For Charlotte
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Residents Please Note:
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Solid Waste Services WILL NOT collect garbage, recycling, yard waste or bulky items on Monday, December 24th and Tuesday, December 25th in observance of the Christmas holiday. Yard waste and bulky item collection will be fully suspended next week.
All city/county households should place their garbage and recycling carts curbside on Wednesday, December 26th. Carts should be left curbside until items are collected. Large cardboard boxes that are to large to fit in the recycling cart should be placed next to the cart for collection.
Holiday Recycling Tips From CharMeck's Solid Waste Services:

Recycle cardboard and gift wrapping (but no foil wrapping).

Tear, don't fold, cardboard into small pieces that will fit loosely into your cart. Pieces should not exceed 18 inches x 18 inches.
- Bag all garbage and place in your rollout cart.
