PhoneSoap - Product Recommendation for Germophobes!
Not only am I a bit of a germophobe but, having been a surgical nurse, I am well aware of the precautions that we should take to prevent the passing of bacteria to others. Well, my ears perked up while listening to an episode of Shark Tank, featuring a new bacteria-zapping product. Yes, I ‘listen’ to the TV while I multi-task!
PhoneSoap is a phone sanitizer and charger in one. The cool thing about it is that you lay your phone in the case when you go to bed, you wake up with a clean, full-charged phone! The newest version of PhoneSoap fits all phones, including the larger phones such as the iPhone X. It also has two charging ports on the back of the case, a USB and USB-C.
I’ve had conversations with friends about the PhoneSoap. The funniest response I got was, “I’m the only one who touches my phone!”
Well…what about the grocery cart you touched today? The door handle at the attorney’s office, the elevator button, the printer at the office?…the list goes on and on. And, how many hands do we shake each day? Then, we grab our phones and the bacteria is transferred to our phones. Did you know that our phones are 18 TIMES DIRTIER THAN A PUBLIC TOILET?!
These cool devices clean, use a UV transparent plate and UVC light, zap 99.99% of all bacteria on your phone (in about 10 minutes). Another cool thing about this device is that you can zap your credit cards without affecting the magnetic stripe.
*Think about that one - we readily hand our credit cards to how many people each week? Do you know where all of the hands that touch your cards have been?
From our phones, to credit cards to keys and headsets, this device will clean and sanitize anything that fits in the case!
See what you think but, I have purchased several this year to give as gifts. I think in our profession, they’re a useful (and healthy) tool to add to our arsenal of gadgets!
*No, I am not being paid to advertise this product! I just feel strongly that our phones, no matter how often we wipe them with a disinfectant, are still nasty! I just wanted to share this cool tool as a great holiday gift - for yourself and others!
