Car is King Weekend will be held June 14-15, 2008 at Maryhill Museum of Art. Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the "Concours de Maryhill" car show will be held on the museum's east lawn. There will be dozens of classic, sport and customized cars on display. This event is an open car show and anyone who has a special car may enter. There will be a number of competition categories including best original, classic, hot rod & muscle car. Sunday, a highlight of the show begins at 9 a.m. with the Vintage Hill Climb race. Spectators will be able to watch as vintage cars from the 1930's through 1960's race up scenic Maryhill Loops Road. This was the first paved road in the Pacific Northwest. You can view the race from the Hwy 97 overlook and also from designated viewpoints along the race route. It is sure to be a fun weekend with much to see.
